 "You and I are flesh and blood. I'm always going to be there for you, even if it's only as an obstacle for you to overcome. Even if you do hate me. That's what big brothers are for." He was a brother like no other. his face gentle with affection. Smiling as if the radiant sun is his features. His eyes, cold as they may seem, had the twinkle of care for his brother. His duty, however, held terrible secrets behind every word. He was willing to carry out the deed so that he may open a brighter future for his beloved sibling, and from him, he drew his great strength and willingness. He found his purpose to live, and for that, he swore to survive in the cold reality. He wanted to ensure that, even if he lives as a criminal in the eyes of others, his brother is safe in the Village he protected. He lied to his sibling, and adhered to every order of the organization he was forced to be a part of, in exchange for the life of his brother, the one he dears. He was afflicted with a disease, but he continued to live on. Hanging on with the means of medicine and his will, he desired that, in his last breath, the face of the person he so treasured and protected greatly will be the last thing he sees, even if the light from his eyes are slowly being eaten away. He wanted to smile at him for the last time, and say those words he used to utter to his brother. He wished to tell him the truth when his time comes, the very fact that by sacrificing the people who cared for them was a way to postpone the dark future in store for them and the whole Village, if not completely stop it. He did everything with his brother in mind, so his world will be the one he always dreamt of. His brother did not know how the twinge of happiness he feels in his heart whenever they cross paths again, the pain he so greatly suffers whenever he himself sees his brother with hatred and pain in his eyes, or how it is multiplied when he needs to hurt his own sibling with his own hands. Such is a great brother, risking everything for his own sibling, an act of pure and sincere love. ITACHI UCHIHA "Forgive me, Sasuke. Again, next time."  ~0~ I was feeling a bit sentimental today, so I posted something about Itachi Uchiha. He was one of the greatest brothers I have ever known, even if he is an anime character. He lied to Sasuke so his safety is kept. He lived as a criminal, and he has to survive through it all, so that in the end, Sasuke may be able to bring him his well-earned rest.
